Adding Documents and Asking Questions
Warning
Results of the examples provided in this section may vary based on the version of the underlying Large Language Model (LLM) in the deployment.
Warning
This guide uses the GUI dashboard for file uploads. However, we recommend that early adopters follow the instructions in the Programmatic Access guide. For more details, please see the Known Issues section.
Download a document to your local machine (e.g., the official AMBA CHI Architecture Specification from here). Click the + Documents
button, then drag and drop the PDF into the RAG Dashboard.
Click Upload
to save changes and then click the Update RAG
button to synchronize changes with Magnus. A dialog box will confirm the operation's outcome.
Once newly added information is processed, interact with the new file via the chat panel of the Magnus VS Code extension, as demonstrated in the figure below.
Magnus can process a variety of document formats, including plain text (.md, .txt), PDFs, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint files, and CSV files.
Tip
For optimal results, provide clear and specific context when retrieving information from the RAG catalog.
